Trek your way to the top of Mt. Takao to capture the seasonal scenery. Hop aboard a comfortable car that will take you to the famed mountain from central Tokyo. Hikers of all levels can enjoy various courses and enjoy at their own pace! Located in the western part of Tokyo and only less than an hour away from the city center. Mt. Takao is a perfect hiking location with various courses made for both beginner and experienced hikers. With a series of numbered hiking trails to choose from, make your way up to the summit (approximately 90 minutes to reach). A handy cable car is also available to make your journey both easier and faster. The view is also quite lovely from aboard the cable car. Enjoy the seasonal scenery along with the sacred Shinto-Buddhist temple where a mountain god (tengu) awaits.
